We respect your privacy. This notice explains how we use the personal information you provide through the contact form on the Kaldbaks-Kot website.

Depending on the fields you complete, we collect your name, email address, country of residence, preferred travel dates, accommodation preferences, group details, service requests and any other information you include in your enquiry. Fields marked “Required” must be completed to submit the form. Other fields are optional. Please provide only the information needed for your enquiry. Avoid including payment details, identity documents, medical information or private information about other people. If you need to discuss accessibility arrangements, you can describe the practical support you require without providing a diagnosis.

Why do we use your information?

We use your information to respond to your questions, discuss accommodation options, prepare requested quotations and communicate with you about your enquiry. For enquiries about a possible booking, our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For other questions, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact our business.

Who receives your information?

Your enquiry is handled by the people responsible for guest enquiries at Kaldbaks-Kot. Form notifications are sent to the site owner and management@cottages.is. The form is provided through Wix. Information is also processed through the email services used to receive and respond to enquiries.

 

How long do we keep your information?

If your enquiry leads to a booking, relevant information becomes part of your booking records and is retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request.

 

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of your information. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
