Flying to Akureyri

Getting to Akureyri

You may fly to Akureyri either using a domestic Iceland Air flight  from Reykjavík or an international Easy-Jet flight from London or Manchester (winter).

From Akureyri to Kaldbaks-kot

You can either rent a car or get bus number 79 in Akureyri. 

When in the bus, you can ask the driver to drop you at Kaldbaks-kot entrance. 

There are also taxi drivers that can drive you here from Akureyri airport.

Sailing to Seyðisfjörður

The whole year around, you can embark yourself on Smyril line from Denmark to Seyðisfjörður.

From Seyðisfjörður to Kaldbaks-kot

If you are not travelling with your own car, you can rent one in Egilsstaðir or combine buses 93 - 56 and 79.
